Step 1 – Grind
Grind the coffee to a medium grind size – you’re looking for it to have the consistency of table salt.
Step 2 – Rinse
Place an Aeropress filter paper into the screw cap and rinse with boiled water. This will get rid of the slight paper taste.
Also rinse the brew chamber to preheat the brewer.
Step 3 – Prep
Place your Aeropress and mug onto the scale and add the ground coffee. Zero out the scale.
Step 4 – Start
Start your timer.
Pour 50g of water onto the coffee grounds and allow to bloom for about 15 seconds.
Pour remaining 200g of water and give it a quick stir.
Insert the rubber press into the top of the brewing chamber.
Step 5 – Brew
At 1min, slowly press until all brewed coffee has passed through the filter; this should take about 30sec.
Step 6 – Drink
Enjoy
Step 7 – Clean
Take off the basket and pop out the coffee grounds and filter. Clean the rubber plunger with hot water and you ready for your next brew.
